Robert Lewandowski splits from agent amid Real Madrid links - sources

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has parted company with Cezary Kucharski, his agent of 10 years, sources close to the player have confirmed to ESPN FC.

The move comes after Marca reported this month that the agent had "offered" the player to Real Madrid, while Kucharski was spotted in the VIP box at Real Madrid in December.

The striker has frequently been linked with a move to Madrid, but on Monday the 29-year-old told German magazine kicker he did not want to think about speculation, focusing only on Bayern.

"I don't have any idea if my agent has spoken to Real Madrid," said Lewandowski, who is under contract with the Bundesliga champions until 2021.

Last year, Kucharski claimed that Lewandowski had been offered a world-record salary in excess of €40 million per year from an unnamed Chinese club.

Reports in Lewandowski's native Poland said Pini Zahavi, who was central to Neymar's world-record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, could replace Kucharski, who had represented the striker since his days at Polish team Znicz Pruzskow.

Lewandowski is also represented by German agent Maik Barthel, who alongside Kucharski brokered his moves to Lech Poznan, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
