Uruguay to overcome the hosts? Nigeria to deepen Argentina's woe?
The column was in good form last time out, correctly tipping Uruguay to beat Saudi Arabia without conceding and claiming a juicy 100/30 shout as Croatia beat Argentina.
Running total: +£4.50
Uruguay are a decent shout at 13/8 to seal top spot in Group A at the expense of Russia on Monday. Both teams have beaten Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the group stages, but in contrasting fashion: While Russia have played an expansive brand of football, scoring eight goals in two matches, the South Americans have been more circumspect. However, you can't argue with back-to-back clean sheets and two wins to start any major tournament. Russia have had two good performances but have proved average over the past 12 months so Uruguay look a tempting price at odds against.
Selection: £4 on Uruguay to win at 13/8 with bet365
The Tasty Treble
Belgium put in arguably the performance of the tournament in beating Tunisia 5-2 and you would struggle to convince they don't look value at 13/8 to beat England on Thursday. Eden Hazard is pulling the strings and Romelu Lukaku seemingly has an answer to every question in the final third. The Three Lions will take some shifting but this Belgian side is oozing quality and 13/8 is tough to ignore. For reasons previously mentioned, Uruguay are also a bet at the same price, while the sooner somebody explains to us why Croatia are 5/4 to beat Iceland, the better! The treble is paying better than 14/1 with bet365 and is not without hope.
Selection: £3 on the treble at 14.5/1 with bet365
The First Goal Flutter
Edison Cavani has yet to register for Uruguay but looks a price at 9/2 to score first against Russia on Monday. He was unlucky not to notch against Morocco but off the pace last time out as La Celeste laboured to victory over Saudi Arabia. However "El Matador" has scored 42 goals in 103 appearances for his country and will be the man the hosts fear most in Samara.

The Wildcard Tip
Argentina's World Cup campaign has descended into chaos and only the brave or daft would surely consider backing them at 8/13 on Tuesday. Nigeria showed against Iceland they are no joke and the Super Eagles look a huge price at 19/4.
The Bookie Basher
Spain, cast into turmoil on the eve of the tournament, have four points from two games and, after an unassuming start to proceedings, Isco may be ready to announce himself. The Real Madrid man has been steady to this point but has the talent to hurt already-eliminated Morocco in Kaliningrad.
Selection: £2 on Isco to score first at 9/2 with bet365
