Celtic and Rangers to win in Champions League qualifying ?

The World Cup may be over but the action continues apace this week with Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers both involved in European fixtures.

Running total: +£42.21

The Banker

Celtic have already set off on the long road to qualifying for the Champions League group stages and should prove far too strong for Armenian outfit Alashkert FC on Wednesday. The Bhoys won the away leg 3-0 and look nailed on to win this return in Glasgow, but bet365 might be taking a risk by offering 9/4 about both teams scoring. Alashkert won their domestic league with a bit to spare last season and will want to give it a real go in front of what should be a lively crowd at Celtic Park.

Selection: £4 on both teams to score at 9/4 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Celtic's Glasgow rivals Rangers are also involved in European action this week as they head to Skopje to face FC Shkupi. The 'Gers marked Steven Gerrard's first competitive match as manager with a 2-0 win at Ibrox last week, and can be relied upon to claim another comfortable win on Tuesday. Elsewhere Hibernian have all but sealed their passage into the second qualifying round of the Europa League after a 6-1 win over NSI Runavik, and Neil Lennon's battlers look impossible to oppose again as they hit the Faroe Islands on Thursday. It will be interesting to see how Hibs go this season after a productive summer in the transfer market, and a good run in Europe will be among their priorities. Both Rangers and Hibs look good things, and adding Irish outfit Dundalk to beat Levadia Tallinn looks the way to go. The treble is paying just under 6/4 but should have every chance.

Selection: £3 on the treble at 1.42/1 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

Big things are expected of Colombian livewire Alfredo Morelos at Rangers this season, and he's favourite to score first against FC Shkupi. He's already scored a few in preseason for the Ibrox outfit, who are 6/1 to win 2-0.

Selection: £1 on Rangers to win 2-0 at 6/1 with bet365

The Bookie Basher

Brendan Rodgers' Celtic are as big as 14/1 to beat Alashkert FC 3-1 and that's a price that makes plenty of appeal. In the first leg Olivier Ntcham was Celtic's creative hub and the Frenchman can inspire another win on home soil.

Selection: £1 on Celtic to win 3-1 at 14/1 with bet365.
