The FC crew answer your tweets on Liverpool's weekend clash against Chelsea, the La Liga title race, Thanksgiving and more.

Liverpool will aim to extend their unbeaten run against Chelsea to six games when they welcome the defending Premier League champions to Anfield on Saturday.

The last time Chelsea defeated Liverpool in the Premier League was on Nov. 8, 2014, a 2-1 away victory thanks to goals from Gary Cahill and Diego Costa. Chelsea, in fact, have not lost any of their last five Premier League visits to Anfield; their last defeat there was on May 8, 2012.

That current five-game run for Liverpool includes two victories,...

Already through to the knockout phase, Tottenham Hotspur will look to ensure first place in Group H when they travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund in their penultimate group-stage Champions League game on Tuesday.

Spurs, one of only four sides to have already sealed their place in the round of 16, advanced to that stage for the first time since 2010-11 with a 3-1 home victory over Real Madrid on Nov. 1. A victory would be enough to secure first place in the group, and they could also do so...

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid fighting to challenge Barcelona for La Liga title

With Real and Atleti level on points, the FC crew predict who'll come out on top when the Madrid clubs renew their rivalry.
The FC panel break down and predict the upcoming Madrid derby.

The first Madrid derbi at the Wanda Metropolitano will take place on Saturday as Atletico Madrid welcome Real Madrid, with both teams attempting to keep the pace behind leaders Barcelona in La Liga.

Real, third in the table and eight points back, have won just once in their last eight league meetings against Atletico. That was on Nov. 19 last season at Atletico's former home, the Vicente Calderon, when a hat trick by Cristiano Ronaldo gave Real the 3-0 victory.

The two teams played to a 1-1 draw...

Arsenal will try to end their six-game winless run against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League when the two teams meet at the Emirates Stadium in the north London derby on Saturday.

The last time Arsenal defeated Spurs in the league was on March 16, 2014, when Tomas Rosicky's second-minute strike -- a goal manager Arsene Wenger described afterward as one that "will go in my collection of great goals" -- held up as the winner in a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane.

Italian soccer is on the brink of disaster

Italy
Italy must beat Sweden today to avoid snapping its consecutive World Cup streak.

Italy have qualified for 14 consecutive World Cups, dating back to Chile in 1962. But this year, the Azzurri finished second in their UEFA qualifying group and were drawn into a two-legged playoff for qualification to Russia.

How did the four-time World Cup champions end up in this position? Part of the story is bad luck and the vicissitudes of FIFA's ranking system.

Click here for more on why Italy's problems run deeper than a bad draw.

Italy aim for 15th consecutive World Cup appearance in playoff vs. Sweden

Sweden's Sebastian Larsson and Italy's Giorgio Chiellini clashed in Euro 2016 and may do so again on Friday.

Italy will continue their attempt to qualify for a 15th consecutive World Cup and 19th overall when they visit suburban Stockholm to face Sweden in the first leg of the UEFA playoff round on Friday.

The Azzurri, who have not missed the World Cup since 1958, would match Germany for the second-most World Cup appearances of all time if they were to advance.

They have not needed to qualify for the World Cup through the playoff since 1998, when they defeated Russia 2-1 on aggregate. Italy later won their...
