West Ham striker Andy Carroll names baby boy 'Wolf'

A predator in the penalty area, it's perhaps only right that Andy Carroll has given his newborn son a suitably ferocious name.

Carroll and his partner, reality TV personality Billie Mucklow, welcomed their second child into the world on Wednesday and opted for a thoroughly unorthodox moniker.

Wolf Nine Carroll 🖤 You Have Stole Our Hearts 15-11-17 #BabyBoy #Wolfie #MyLittleChubbyCub

A post shared by billimucklow (@billimucklow) on

Indeed, Mucklow shared a photo of herself and her partner cooing over their new son while formally introducing her social media followers to little baby Wolf Nine Carroll.

"Wolf" being a type of wild dog and "Nine" presumably being a reference daddy's squad number of choice.

Undeniably memorable though hardly original. In fact, Harper Seven Beckham would like a word.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
