Liverpool star Sadio Mane sings his own song

If 2016-17 was the year of the Yaya/Kolo Toure chant, then Liverpool fans have most definitely claimed those honours in 2017-18 with their infuriatingly catchy ode to Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

The chant, sung to the tune of "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies, is everywhere and now it's even gone meta, with footage of Mane crooning along to his own tune.

In an interview with German journalist Christian Falk, the Liverpool forward was coerced (albeit with a huge grin on his face) to have a crack at singing his own song, which he did so with gusto.

That's it. The Mane Song must have reached its zenith now. Where is there to go from here?

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
