England players take to social media to react to making World Cup squad
With England's World Cup squad now official, several Three Lions players have reacted to finding themselves included in Gareth Southgate's Russia-bound envoy.
England made the announcement using a rather nifty little video, which saw fans from around the country revealing the selection one by one.
As for the players themselves, Marcus Rashford kicked off the reactions in heartwarming fashion by sending a lovely little message to his mum.
After years of you standing on the touch line in the cold and rain, Mum we're off to the World Cup! 🦁🦁🦁 pic.twitter.com/JOCj5oBCtN— Marcus Rashford (@MarcusRashford) May 16, 2018
Next up was Ashley Young, who shared a throwback image to prove that his dream to play for England at a World Cup goes back a long time.
Maybe this picture said I was gonna live my dream and go to a World Cup... dreams do come true 👀😊🤘🏾🦁 pic.twitter.com/kSM8VORdp0— Ashley Young (@youngy18) May 16, 2018
Dele Alli followed suit by sharing a photo of himself during his early England days.
Meanwhile, Kyle Walker was left to reveal that he came close to blowing his chances after missing a very important phone call.
Come on Kyle, pay attention -- on today of all days!
