Transfer Rater: Luke Shaw to Crystal Palace, Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea
Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.
Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.
Luke Shaw to Crystal Palace
Manchester United left-back Shaw has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
When Shaw, then 18, arrived for £27 million from Southampton in 2014 -- a world record for a teenager -- his future looked bright. But a serious leg break last season seems to have stifled the 21-year-old's development.
A number of clubs are believed to be keen on him, with Sam Allardyce's Crystal Palace in the hunt according to the Daily Star.
Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea
Lukaku's future at Everton has been plunged into doubt after he claimed he would not sign a new contract.
He joined the Toffees from Chelsea in a £28m deal in 2014 and has gone from strength to strength. Two goals in the victory over Hull City at the weekend took the 23-year-old's tally to 21 for the season.
Antonio Conte's Blues are 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, but could be looking for a new striker, with Diego Costa's future at Stamford Bridge up in the air. The Telegraph says Antonio Conte is keen on bringing Lukaku back to the club.
Riley McGree to Celtic
According to the Daily Record, Brendan Rodgers is looking to the future with a young Socceroo who is making waves in the A-league with Adelaide United.
McGree, 18, is an energetic midfielder who could be a long-term replacement for Scott Brown.
Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea
Chelsea have set their sights on bringing 22-year-old Monaco midfielder Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
He has impressed for the Ligue 1 side domestically and in Europe, scoring the decisive goal in the Champions League against Manchester City last week. But it is his energy and positional sense that make him so desirable, and a move to the Premier League is looking likely.
Antonio Sanabria to Tottenham
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to sign Real Betis striker Sanabria, 21, this summer as he looks to bolster his attacking options, according to the Daily Express.
Spurs look light up front, with Vincent Janssen struggling to adapt to Premier League life and Harry Kane out injured.
