Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper. Here are today's top five emerging whispers.

Marley Watkins to Aston Villa

The Daily Mail claim Aston Villa are planning to raid Barnsley for the third time inside of six months. Following the January signings of Conor Hourihane and James Bree, Villa are planning a summer move for winger Watkins. The 26-year-old saw a transfer request rejected in January but is set to get his move in July with Steve Bruce keen to add him to his squad as he plans for a promotion push next season.

Djibril Sidibe to Arsenal

Monaco full-back Sidibe is a transfer target for Arsenal. The 24-year-old versatile defender, who is capable of filling in on either flank, only joined the club last summer for a reported £12 million despite interest from the Gunners. However, after impressing during the French side's run to the Champions League semifinal, his stock is once again high and Premier League clubs are interested. According to L'Equipe, Arsene Wenger reportedly wants Sidibe to replace Nacho Monreal at left-back.

Christian Eriksen to Barcelona

Eriksen tops the list of Barcelona summer targets, according to the Daily Mirror. The Catalan giants are in the market for a playmaker capable of supplying ammunition to Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi and the Dane falls into that category. The report suggests La Liga's leaders have scouted the 25-year-old extensively over the past 12 months and have been impressed by how he's developed under Mauricio Pochettino.

Kevin Wimmer to West Brom

West Brom have expressed an interest in Tottenham centre-back Wimmer, reports the Daily Mail. The 24-year-old centre-back arrived at White Hart Lane in 2015 for £4.3m but has struggled to cement his place in the first team ahead of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier. The Austrian was linked with a move to Southampton in January but it now appears as though Tony Pulis' side have jumped to the front of the queue.

Daniel Sturridge to West Ham

According to the Sun, Sturridge is open to a move to West Ham this summer. The Liverpool striker has struggled with fitness over recent seasons and it appears as though he is no longer part of manager Jurgen Klopp's plans. The 27-year-old has been linked with Arsenal but West Ham are also in the running.
