Transfer Talk: Arsenal to sell Danny Welbeck to Galatasaray? Bordeaux to hire Henry?

The English transfer window is closed, but the rest of Europe is still open for business, and Transfer Talk has the latest rumours making the rounds. Follow along with our daily blog throughout the summer.

When does the transfer window close in the top European leagues?

All completed moves: Prem | Champ | La Liga | Serie A | Bundesliga | Ligue 1

Galatasaray eye move for Arsenal's Danny Welbeck

Danny Welbeck's future at Arsenal has been up in the air for some time. The 27-year-old is certainly not first choice at the club and his injury history has led to speculation that he will be sold this summer.

Turkish outlet AMK report that Galatasaray are interested, but the forward himself is less than keen on a move to Turkey.

Ironically, Welbeck could be playing Champions League football (something his Arsenal teammates can only dream of this season) at Galatasaray. We'll have to wait and see if that is enough to tempt him away.

Henry in frame to manage Bordeaux

L'Equipe reports that Thierry Henry could be a candidate for the Bordeaux manager's job should disgruntled current boss Gus Poyet be let go.

Poyet landed himself in some hot water this week when he scolded the club for selling striker Gaetan Laborde to Montpellier. The Ligue 1 side responded by suspending Poyet for one week for his rant, and the club president said his future will be decided once the suspension is up.

If the former Leeds United and Sunderland manager does indeed get sacked, the French outlet says that Henry, who was an assistant manager to Roberto Martinez for Belgium at the World Cup, could be in line to take over in a head coaching position for the first time in his career.

Spurs missed Grealish chance

Tottenham could've signed Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish this summer had they conducted their business earlier in the window, Steve Bruce has told TalkSport.

Spurs had been linked with the England under-21 international for most of the summer, but Bruce suggested the North London club didn't come in with an offer until late in the window. The radio station reported that an "11th-hour £30 million bid" was rejected, and Tottenham closed the window without completing any business.

"It's fair to say we were in such a bad position financially that if Tottenham had have done their work early, then I'm sure he would have been a Tottenham player," Bruce said.

Pep rules our Marchisio as De Bruyne cover

Premier League champions Manchester City were sent reeling by the news that Kevin De Bruyne will miss three months with a lateral collateral ligament injury in his right knee. But Friday, manager Pep Guardiola ruled out specific cover for the midfield maestro.

Earlier in the day, Claudio Marchisio agreed to have his Juventus contract terminated, leaving him free to sign with whomever he chooses. And with Guardiola's City now missing one of their creators-in-chief, surely the available Italy international could be a natural short-term fit, right?

Not so fast.

"No," Guardiola told a news conference Friday. "In December, we are going to see what happens in the [next] transfer window but now the squad is the squad."

Tap Ins

- Patrick Vieira could be about to pick the pocket of his former employers the City Football Group before the end of the Ligue 1 transfer window. A report on MLSSoccer.com suggests the former France international is interested in a deal that would bring NYCFC winger Jesus Medina to Nice.

- West Brom manager Darren Moore said he doesn't know if record signing Nacer Chadli will still be with the team once the European transfer window closes Aug. 31, per the Birmingham Mail.

The Belgium international was a standout performer in his country's run to the semifinals at the World Cup, fueling speculation that some club would pay his £17m release clause. Thus far no offers have come and Moore said he's hopeful they can keep the former Spurs winger at the Hawthorns.

- Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has joined Napoli on a season-long loan, with the Serie A side holding an option to buy on a permanent basis next summer.

- Parma have completed the signing of former Arsenal and Roma winger Gervinho. The Ivory Coast international, who left the Italian capital for Chinese club Hebei China Fortune in January 2016, has signed a contract until 2021 with the Serie A club .
