Mexico hasn't traditionally been a hotbed for coaching talent. The only coach to really enjoy success and establish himself outside of the country is current Al-Wahda FC boss Javier Aguirre. Even at home, it is difficult for domestic managers to succeed; only eight of 18 Liga MX coaches are from Mexico.

Tigres coach Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti has called for increased security at Liga MX games in the wake of the violence on the final whistle of his team's 3-0 victory over Veracruz in Estadio Luis "Pirata" Fuente last Friday.

The violence erupted after Tigres netted three second-half goals, with video footage showing one fan wielding an ice pick. Mexico international Jesus Duenas had his hand sliced open in the mayhem.

The clock is quickly ticking for numerous Mexican players. With slightly over a month left until FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago, El Tri manager Juan Carlos Osorio will soon need to hone down his best roster options.

While the likes of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, Guillermo Ochoa and other Mexicans in Europe are close to guaranteeing their spots, others back in Liga MX will need to continue to fight for a much-desired opportunity.
