Substitute Kennedy Igboananike hit two brilliant late goals to help the Chicago Fire beat Orlando City SC and earn a spot in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals.

The Fire dominated Orlando throughout the match, but were still level until Igboananike scored in the 87th and 90th minute to seal the win.

Union hold on to beat Red Bulls on penalties, SKC drop Houston 3-1

The Philadelphia Union advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup by outlasting the New York Red Bulls 4-3 on penalties on Tuesday.

After the game finished 1-1 at the end of extra time, Fernando Aristeguieta sent in the winning penalty for the Union.

The Union played down a man for more than an hour after Conor Casey was shown a straight red card for a late tackle on Red Bulls defender Connor Lade.
