Sources: Atletico on verge of signing €30m Bruno Guimaraes from Atletico Paranaense

Antoine Griezmann received a harsh welcome on his return to Madrid, but did the Atletico fans go too far?

Atletico Madrid are on the verge of completing a deal for Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, sources have told ESPN.

The club will pay Atletico Paranaense around €30 million for the 22-year-old. He is expected to join next June, although a January arrival is not being ruled out.

Chapecoense relegated three years on from plane crash tragedy

Chapecoense's relegation to the Brazil second division has been confirmed.

Brazilian side Chapecoense have been relegated to the second division for the first time in their history, three years after a tragic plane crash that killed most of their players.  

Chapecoense lost 1-0 at home to Botafogo on Wednesday to end their hopes of remaining in the top division for a seventh straight campaign.

Flamengo win Brazilian league while celebrating Copa Libertadores title

Flamengo celebrated their Copa Libertadores title the same day the were confirmed Brazilian league champs.

A day after winning their first Copa Libertadores in 38 years, Flamengo completed a rare double on Sunday when they secured the Brazilian league title after closest challengers Palmeiras lost 2-1 at home to Gremio.
