AC Milan general manager Marco Fassone said he is optimistic there will be no repercussions on his club's summer transfer activities, although he does expect some sanctions after a meeting with UEFA in Nyon on Friday to discuss a settlement agreement in view of potential financial fair play (FFP) restrictions on the Serie A club.

Giacomo Bonaventura's stunning opener got Milan off to a brilliant start at Torino.

AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Torino on Wednesday night, with Giacomo Bonaventura's stunning early strike cancelled out by Lorenzo De Silvestri's second-half equaliser. Coupled with results elsewhere, the Rossoneri's slim hopes of securing a top-four finish took another hit.

Positives

Aside from their brilliant goal, Milan looked in control in the first half as they dictated the tempo of the game and were comfortable. Organised, resolute and focused, they deserved their lead.

Giacomo Bonaventura's superb curling shot put the visitors in front but Lorenzo De Silvestri nodded in from a corner. De Silvestri was sent off in time added on.

Milan remained in the final Europa League berth, two points above Atalanta, who won 3-0 at last-place Benevento with teenager Musa Barrow netting his first Serie A goal.

AC Milan to face Barcelona, Man United and Tottenham in International Champions Cup

Gennaro Gattuso will lead AC Milan in the International Champions Cup for the first time.

AC Milan will return to the United States this summer to participate in the International Champions Cup for the sixth year running, with games scheduled against Barcelona, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Their first fixture, against United, will be staged at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on July 25 before they move to Minneapolis to face Spurs on July 31. Milan then return to California to face Barcelona in Santa Clara on Aug. 4 -- a fortnight before the start of the Serie A season.

Champions League qualification unlikely for AC Milan - Gennaro Gattuso

AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso told Sky Sport Italia his side face an uphill challenge trying to qualify for the Champions League and praised goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for saving them a point against Napoli.
