Jack Wilshere's once promising career remains in limbo after England snub

ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop has his say on Jack Wilshere and links with Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

Eddie Howe seemed baffled. When he was asked about Jack Wilshere's omission from the England squad to face Germany and Lithuania, the Bournemouth manager said: "Am I surprised? Yes because of the quality of the player Jack is."

Howe's confusion would be a little easier to take at face value if Wilshere had been in the Bournemouth team recently. Instead, the Arsenal loanee was on the bench for their trip to Old Trafford at the start of March and after that creditable 1-1 draw, that was where...

Afobe, King's brilliant attacking play sparks Bournemouth to Swansea win

Bournemouth's 2-0 home win keeps Swansea City grounded close to the drop zone.
After a poor run of form several weeks ago, Eddie Howe discusses how Bournemouth's recent run has restored team morale.
Benik Afobe and Simon Francis were thrilled to contribute to Bournemouth's home victory over Swansea.

Bournemouth earned a well-deserved three points in their 2-0 victory over Swansea on Saturday and have really turned a corner since their dismal run of poor form at the turn of the year. Eddie Howe's side are a match for any team if they perform like this, but it's just a matter of finding that consistency, which is something they struggle with.

There's still work to do in avoiding relegation, but Bournemouth can breathe a huge sigh of relief, having stretched the gap to the drop zone even further.

Can Man City rebound vs. Liverpool? Wenger under pressure at West Brom

The Exploding Heads break down who would win in a showdown between the cities of Manchester and Liverpool.
The ESPN FC crew present their Premier League relegation predictions, but are there any surprises from the group?

Manchester City and Arsenal are both coming off the back of embarrassing European exits, but City's will hurt more as they were ahead against Monaco. Pep Guardiola has to rouse the troops against Liverpool, who tend to disappoint against smaller clubs but should be perfectly comfortable against the Catalan and his style of play.

Arsene Wenger is under major pressure, so has to get the fans back on his side with a big win over West Brom, while Manchester United's Europa League exploits might see...

Josh King, Ryan Fraser vital in Bournemouth's quest for points

Eddie Howe admits his relief now that Bournemouth's winless streak has ended, and praises star man Josh King's performance.

The three points claimed against West Ham will almost surely propel the Cherries to another victory against Swansea this weekend. Bournemouth demolished the Swans 3-0 last time the sides met, and with home advantage now in their favour, Eddie Howe should be confident of claiming another win.

The Cherries will rely on the in-form Josh King to fire them to victory again. He's become revitalised playing in a more attacking role, and claims his improvement is down to his enjoyment playing under pressure....

Hat-trick hero Josh King gets 10/10 as Bournemouth defeat West Ham 3-2

Eddie Howe admits his relief now that Bournemouth's winless streak has ended, and praises star man Josh King's performance.
Sebastian Salazar and Craig Burley recap Hull City's big win, possible safety for Bournemouth and Everton's chances of breaking into the top 6.

It may have taken 10 weeks but Bournemouth have finally won a game. After an impressive performance like Saturday's 3-2 win over West Ham, it's hard to believe the last time they claimed three points was against Swansea on Dec. 31. Despite a couple of scares against the Hammers, they showed enough character and composure to see out a result, which is something they have been questioned over in recent weeks.

Eddie Howe, Bournemouth need to stop believing the hype

Craig Burley and Mark Donaldson react to the FA's decision to charge Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyrone Mings for violent conduct.

A fantastic point against Manchester United last time out will surely help supply Bournemouth momentum heading into this weekend's home clash against West Ham. But while the 1-1 draw should be enjoyed after a dismal run of results, it's important feet remain on the ground as there is still a lot of work to be done.

One of the main issues with Bournemouth is everyone's eagerness to play to the fairy-tale narrative and elevate the club's status whenever possible. An example this week was Jan-Åge...
