Inter's brilliant form, Champions League push must continue vs. Roma

Whatever Pioli is doing at Inter is working. But it'll be tested against Roma, who are in equally good form.

When Helenio Herrera was manager of Inter in the 1960s, one of his famous innovations was to put messages up in the dressing room to motivate his players and focus their minds. The most famous of these was his winning formula: "Class + Preparation + Fitness + Intelligence = THE TITLE." Claudio Ranieri axe shows football lacks recognition - Roma's Spalletti

Gab Marcotti, Alejandro Moreno and Steve Nicol share their differing points of view on Claudio Ranieri's sacking.
Steve Nicol says too much has gone wrong for Leicester this season for Claudio Ranieri to continue as manager.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia there is "not even a crumb of recognition in this sport" after Leicester City sacked Claudio Ranieri on Thursday.

Ten-man Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Europa League in the round of 32 after losing 3-2 on aggregate following Thursday's 2-2 second-leg draw against Belgian club Gent at Wembley.

Harry Kane's own goal and Dele Alli's first-half red card were too much to overcome as Mauricio Pochettino's men failed to reach the quarterfinals of the competition for a fourth consecutive campaign.

However Christian Eriksen gave Tottenham early hope in the 10th minute, levelling the tie with a calm finish...

Roma are bidding for a new arena and await word from the city council.

Roma president James Pallotta says a rejection of his club's new stadium plans by the city council would have "catastrophic" consequences for the Giallorossi.

The Eternal City club are bidding to build a new arena in a currently disused area of the city, but initial reservations against the idea have escalated during a series of council meetings to discuss the project.

A definite answer on the part of the council over planning permission is due on Friday, and Pallotta has expressed his hope that...
