Malcom will leave Bordeaux this summer, owners indicate

Malcom is set to leave Bordeaux.

Highly coveted winger Malcom is set to leave Bordeaux this summer, the club's majority shareholder has indicated.

The 21-year-old Brazilian star drew reported interest from north London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal in January and though he ultimately stayed in France, he has made no secret of his ambition to further his career elsewhere.

And Nicolas de Tavernost, president of the M6 group which owns Les Girondins, made it clear at his company's AGM that Malcom will get his wish this summer.

Bordeaux's Malcom says it would be 'a dream to play for Bayern Munich'

Bordeaux winger Malcom has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Bordeaux's coveted winger Malcom has told Sky "it would be a dream to play for Bayern Munich."

Malcom, 21, has scored eight goals and added six assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season. He had been previously linked with Arsenal and Tottenham,  but Sport Bild reported last month that the Brazilian winger had provisionally agreed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.

Responding to the speculation after his agent visited the Bavarian capital, Malcom said: "Bayern Munich is one...

Bayern's Jupp Heynckes: No move for Malcom; Sevilla a 'difficult' Champions League draw

Bayern Munich beat Besiktas 8-1 on aggregate after a comfortable 3-1 win in Istanbul to advance to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

MUNICH -- Jupp Heynckes has denied Bayern Munich are eyeing a move for Bordeaux winger Malcom.

Heavily linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Sport Bild reported last month that Malcom has provisionally agreed a five-year deal with Bayern.

But Heynckes dismissed recent speculation linking them with a move for the 21-year-old Brazilian.

"I have never seen him play," Heynckes said at a news conference. "Such players are often touted around like this, but I don't think he's a topic [of interest]....

Malcom can replace Bayern's Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben - Willy Sagnol

Former Bayern Munich interim boss Willy Sagnol believes Bordeaux winger Malcom has the potential to replace veterans Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben at the Bundesliga champions.

Sagnol coached Bordeaux from 2014 to 2016 and is employed at Bayern in a technical capacity. He highly rates Malcom, who has eight goals and six assists in 25 games in Ligue 1 this season.

"I discovered Malcom and brought him over from Brazil to Bordeaux in January 2016," Sagnol told Bild.

"He is more like Robben as a player...

Bordeaux star Malcom takes diving ban appeal to Olympic committee

Malcom's diving ban was extended after he made an appeal earlier this week.

Malcom will take his appeal against a two-game ban for diving to France's Olympic Committee (CNOSF) in an attempt to be able to play for Bordeaux against Monaco on Friday.

The 21-year-old forward, linked with Arsenal and Tottenham last month, was given a one-game ban with a further match suspended for the dive that earned his team a penalty during a 3-1 win over Lyon on Jan. 28.

Bordeaux appealed to the French Football Federation (FFF) but saw the ban increased to two matches, meaning their leading...
