Brazilian Malcom scored a 69th-minute winner as Bordeaux moved up to third place in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 win at Toulouse in the Garonne derby.

Malcolm fired home with his left foot after meeting a ball into the box from Francois Kamano to maintain his side's unbeaten start to the new season.

Bordeaux went into the game on the back of a goalless draw at Lille last Friday night while southwest neighbours Toulouse also drew 0-0 at Troyes.

But it was the home side who started much better with Corentin...

Monaco's fiscal advantages more of a worry than PSG spending - Bordeaux

Monaco's new signing Keita Balde says he's not there to try and replace Kylian Mbappe.

Bordeaux president Nicolas De Tavernost has told RMC he has more of a problem with Monaco's fiscal advantages than the massive spending of Paris Saint-Germain.

The summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will cost PSG around €400 million in transfer fees, and caused a huge stir among Europe's elite clubs.

Monaco pipped PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season, a victory underpinned by players such as Radamel Falcao and Bernardo Silva, who -- as non-French players -- do not pay income tax on...

Nicolas De Preville
Nicolas De Preville signed a four-year deal with Bordeaux.

Forward Nicolas De Preville has joined Bordeaux from Lille on a four-year deal.

No financial details were given.

The 26-year-old Frenchman is a versatile forward who can play on either flank or through the middle.

He scored 14 league goals in 30 games last season and has two in four so far.

De Preville left Lille with a reminder of his ability, scoring with a curling shot from 25 meters (yards) out against Angers last weekend.

It was his fifth league goal from outside the penalty area in 2017 --...

Bordeaux deny 10-man Lyon late while St Etienne win third game running

Malcom celebrates his late equaliser for Bordeaux against Lyon.

Malcom's dramatic stoppage-time equaliser earned Bordeaux a 3-3 draw at Lyon, who saw midfielder Sergi Darder sent off in the first half as their 100 percent start to the Ligue 1 season came to an end.

Nabil Fekir put the hosts ahead with a spectacular long-range effort after 10 minutes, lofting the ball over goalkeeper Benoit Costil from just inside the Bordeaux half.

Lyon doubled their lead after 23 minutes when defender Kenny Tete got on the end of a free kick through the six-yard box to stab...

Bielsa's Lille thrash Ranieri's Nantes; Njie fuels Marseille win over Dijon

Lille beat Nantes 3-0 to give Marcelo Bielsa a win in his debut as manager.

Lille's attacking potential was on display as coach Marcelo Bielsa's new side started their Ligue 1 campaign with a 3-0 win over Nantes on Sunday.

After finishing a disappointing 11th last season, Lille hired the Argentine coach -- known as "El Loco Bielsa" (Crazy Bielsa) to his fans -- with the aim of returning to the Champions League while playing an exciting brand of football.

Lille also recruited more than a dozen new players, and the northern club's squad appears to have gelled.

Facing an unimaginative...
