Bromley and Barrow both came close in injury time but had to settle for a 0-0 draw in their Vanarama National League clash at Hayes Lane.

Victory would have put Bromley into seventh place, and a play-off spot, while Barrow needed more than a point to open up breathing space above the relegation zone.

Roger Johnson sent a great chance wide in the closing moments, ending the Ravens' prospects of winning, with Jordan White narrowly failing to latch on to Lewis Walters' cross at the other end moments later.

Omar Bugiel grabbed a critical late winner for Bromley, whose 3-2 win at home to Boreham Wood kept them in with a realistic chance of making the play-offs.

The home side made a remarkable comeback from two down as Morgan Ferrier's double left them trailing.

Jordan Higgs pulled one back though, letting the power of Frankie Sutherland's cross do the work as he redirected the ball into the net from close in.

Jack Holland scored twice as Bromley came from behind to beat Dagenham 3-1 in the Vanarama National League on Tuesday.

Luke Howell beat two defenders before slotting into the bottom corner in the 54th minute to give Dagenham the lead.

However, a second-half brace from Holland fired Bromley ahead, the first goal coming just three minutes after the opener when he headed in from a corner.

Holland repeated the trick with a thundering header in the 71st minute to put the hosts in front.

Chester substitute Nathan Brown scored a stunning last-minute solo goal to clinch beleaguered Chester only their second win in 17 games - 3-2 at home to Bromley.

The two sides had already shared four goals before the striker ran 40 yards, beating three men, before placing the ball past goalkeeper David Gregory.

On the stroke of half-time, Chester's Dominic Vose curled in a superb strike after receiving a pass from Craig Mahon. But after the interval, Josh Rees levelled for Bromley.

Bromley's National League play-off hopes suffered a further dent following a goalless draw at home to Gateshead.

Clear-cut chances were few and far between although Bromley keeper David Gregory produced a fine reaction save to deny Lewis McNall in the 12th minute.

A last-ditch clearance from Ben Chorley thwarted Richard Peniket as Gateshead enjoyed a good spell.

Louis Dennis was foiled by Gateshead keeper James Montgomery, who moments later kept out Omar Bugiel's effort.
