Ngezi's perfect start ends while Highlanders draw

David Temwanjira grabbed a last-gasp equaliser as Shabanie Mine ended the only remaining 100 percent record in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League by holding log leaders Ngezi Platinum to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Ngezi had gone to Mandava Stadium heavily tipped to make it six wins in a row following a flying start to the new campaign, and they looked the part early on as Terrence Dzukamanja put them ahead in the 37th minute after converting a Michael Charamba cross.

Ngezi, Bosso, CAPS win, but Dynamos falter again

Ngezi Platinum emerged from match-day 5 with their title credentials reinforced after a last-gasp 1-0 win over Chicken Inn, but Highlanders and FC Platinum did their utmost to keep the pressure on the early pace-setters.

The visitors continued to look the more threatening side after the break and could have notched a couple more goals but for...

Chibuku Super Cup: CAPS clash abandoned after crowd trouble

An assistant referee sustained a cut above the eye after being struck by a missile as the Chibuku Super Cup quarterfinal clash between CAPS United and Shabanie Mine was abandoned just after the hour-mark due to crowd trouble.

Veteran defender William Mapfumo had beaten the halftime whistle with a superb header to put hosts Shabanie ahead, with favourites CAPS then struggling to convert a series of chances which came their way, much to the frustration of the travelling supporters.

And just when it...
