Hull City sign goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff City

David Marshall becomes Hull City's first senior signing of the summer.

Hull City have signed goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.

Scotland international Marshall, 31, has signed a three-year contract and becomes the club's first senior signing of the summer.

Hull saw last season's No. 1, Allan McGregor, ruled out for the rest of 2016 in the...

Yann Kermorgant's 89th-minute strike snatched a late 1-0 win for Reading at Cardiff in the Sky Bet Championship.

The striker finished off Jordan Obita's cross to claim the Royals' first win since the opening weekend - and their first away from home in the league since April.

It sealed another frustrating performance at home for Bluebirds boss Paul Trollope, who has won just one of his first six games in charge.

Cardiff skipper David Marshall was left out of the team, with a bid from Hull accepted and...

Goalkeeper David Marshall headed to Hull as Cardiff confirm deal

David Marshall is set to leave Cardiff to move to Hull City.

Cardiff have confirmed they have accepted an offer from Premier League new boys Hull for Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall.

The 31-year-old, who impressed throughout the Bluebirds' sole Premier League campaign in 2013/14, was left out of Cardiff's squad to face Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Injury-hit Hull are currently without their first-choice goalkeeper, Marshall's international teammate Allan McGregor, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a back issue.

Kevin McDonald preserved Fulham's unbeaten start to the Sky Bet Championship season with a late leveller in the 2-2 draw with Cardiff.

Cardiff trailed to 16-year-old Ryan Sessegnon's opener before two fine strikes from Joe Ralls and Anthony Pilkington turned this game on its head.

However, new summer signing McDonald struck with four minutes left to earn Slavisa Jokanovic's side a deserved point and extended their impressive start to the new campaign.

A slow start to the game saw McDonald drag his shot...

Blackburn defender Shane Duffy scored two own goals in six first-half minutes before being sent off as the Sky Bet Championship's bottom club lost 2-1 at Cardiff.

Duffy also scored an own goal at Wigan on Saturday - meaning he had put the ball past Blackburn goalkeeper Jason Steele three times in under an hour's football - to become rather bizarrely the Championship's joint top scorer.

His misery was complete when he was sent off in the dying seconds, the frustrated Republic of Ireland defender received...
