Charlton saw off already-relegated Swindon with a comfortable 3-0 win at The Valley.

The last game of the season saw the visitors start the stronger with Anton Rodgers hitting the bar from a free-kick.

But it was Charlton who took the lead on 15 minutes when Chelsea loanee Jay Dasilva's cross was headed home by striker Josh Magennis.

In a game which saw flares and balloons launched in more protests against Charlton's owner Roland Duchatelet, Nathan Byrne and Magennis came close to doubling the hosts'...

Chesterfield set an unwanted club record when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Charlton.

The already-relegated club slumped to a 26th Sky Bet League One defeat of the season through goals from Jake Forster-Caskey and Ricky Holmes.

Reece Mitchell replied in stoppage time for bottom-placed Chesterfield before Forster-Caskey had a penalty saved.

Chesterfield needed a fine save by Thorsten Stuckmann in the 16th minute to keep out a Holmes free-kick from just outside the box.

Gillingham's relegation fears increased following a 3-0 defeat to struggling Charlton at The Valley.

Ady Pennock's men had the first opportunity of the game after just five minutes when Cody McDonald was fed nicely by Lee Martin but could only hit the side-netting.

Charlton's first chance came through Nathan Byrne who saw his shot deflect wide.

The subsequent corner in the 20th minute by Ricky Holmes found the head of Jason Pearce to score his first of the season to give the Addicks the lead.

Toy pig protest holds up Coventry's League One match against Charlton

Toy pigs were thrown on the pitch before the game could begin.

Pigs were flying at Friday's League One match between Coventry City and Charlton Athletic.

Fans threw so many small plastic pigs on to the pitch that the protest against team owners delayed the start by about seven minutes.

The incident happened before the match, and when it did start, less than a minute later more pigs were tossed, leading the referee to make both teams leave the pitch. The pigs were cleared and play resumed five minutes later.

Similar incidents occurred in October when the teams...

Coventry dropped into Sky Bet League Two following a 1-1 draw with Charlton as supporters from both sides threw toy pigs onto the pitch in protest against their clubs' owners.

Just seconds before the game was about to start, hundreds of the toy pigs were thrown onto the playing surface and put kick-off back by seven minutes.

When they were finally cleared, referee Darren Handley got the game under way. However, more pigs were thrown onto one corner of the Ricoh Arena pitch within seconds and the two...
