Former Ghana, MLS forward Agogo dies at 40

Junior Agogo, Ghana
Junior Agogo earned 27 caps for Ghana and finished third at 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

Former Ghana international Junior Agogo has died at the age of 40, the Ghana FA have announced.

The ex-forward suffered a stroke in 2015, three years after his retirement and was hospitalised. It emerged earlier this year he had continued to struggle with the effects.

Mauro Manotas scored goals five minutes apart late in the second half to rally host Houston to a 2-2 tie against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday to end a four-game losing streak in the debut of Dynamo interim coach Davy Arnaud.

Houston (9-13-4, 31 points) trailed 2-0 on a pair of first-half goals by Diego Rubio before Manotas tallied in the 74th and 79th minutes.

Colorado (7-13-6, 27 points) has a loss and draw after winning two straight.

Darwin Quintero made up for a missed penalty kick by scoring in the 39th minute as Minnesota United FC won 1-0 over the visiting Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night at Saint Paul, Minn.

Minnesota (12-8-5, 41 points) was the aggressor most of the night, holding nearly 60 percent of the possession, to bounce back from Saturday's 5-3 loss at FC Dallas that ended its seven-game MLS unbeaten run.
