Mirsha Francisco Herrera Gastelum was stabbed and killed after leaving training.

Dorados de Sinaloa on Tuesday reported that one of their youth team players, Mirsha Francisco Herrera Gastelum, was stabbed and killed in the city of Culiacan, Mexico.

A source close to the club told ESPN Deportes: "The incident occurred between 11.30 a.m. and 12 p.m. He had got to training very early and left.

"Right after, we found out [about the stabbing] from the hospital because they recognised the kit and spoke to the club. They said: 'We have a player from your team here called...

Maradona denies he has Alzheimer's disease

Dorados coach Diego Maradona
Maradona posted a video on Instagram in which he hit out at the reports.

Diego Maradona has denied reports that he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Argentina legend Maradona would not stay on as coach of Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa in order to focus on his health.

The 58-year-old, who will have operations on his shoulder and knee, was in charge for nine months.

Maradona, a World Cup winner in 1986, posted a video on Instagram in which he said: "They lie. They speak of Alzheimer and don't know what that word is,...

Maradona out as Dorados manager, cites health

Alejandro Moreno and Shaka Hislop examine Argentina's Copa America roster and question if Messi has enough talent around him to be successful.
Gab Marcotti dissects the rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi fans and finds it "odd" how supporters of one generally dislike the other.
While horse riding wasn't involved, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero took to the polo pitch to train alongside Argentine star Adolfo Cambiaso.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona will not stay on as head coach of Mexican second division club Dorados de Sinaloa, the 58-year-old's lawyer confirmed on Thursday.

The 1986 World Cup winner guided Dorados to two consecutive league finals in the two seasons he was in charge, but has chosen to step aside to focus on his health.

"Diego Maradona has decided not to continue as Dorados head coach," Maradona's lawyer Matias Morla wrote on Twitter. "After medical advice, he'll dedicate time to his health...

Maradona: 'I'm the man' to fix Man United

With Paul Pogba linked with a return to Juventus and no players signed yet this summer, ESPN FC's Steve Nicol says Manchester United need to up their game in the transfer market.

Diego Maradona has told Manchester United he is the man to help restore them to former glories following a desperate campaign that ended trophyless, while rivals Manchester City and Liverpool won major silverware.

United have not won the title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 and Maradona, coaching Dorados in the Mexican second division, believes he is the man to change their fortunes.

"If Manchester [United] need a coach, I'm the man to do it," Maradona told FourFourTwo. "I know they sell...

Dorados confident of retaining Diego Maradona

Diego Maradona's Sinaloa Dorados will fight for the Mexican second division title after beating Ciudad Juarez
Dorados de Sinaloa are hopeful that Diego Maradona will manage the club next season.

Diego Maradona's time in Mexico could be set to continue, with Dorados de Sinaloa owner Jorgealberto Hank Inzunza confirming that the club is interested in contracting the Argentine legend for another year.

Maradona made the shock move to Dorados last September after causing controversy at the the 2018 World Cup and with the second division club in joint last in the league table.

He went on to guide the team to consecutive Ascenso MX finals, losing both to newly promoted Atletico San Luis -- owned...
