A late goal from Darlington Nagbe sealed a narrow 1-0 win for the United States over Ecuador.
United States midfielder Darlington Nagbe scores his first international goal to break the deadlock in the 90th minute against Ecuador.
United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann discusses the USMNT players to watch for at the Copa America Centenario.

Monterrey defender Edgar Castillo will replace the injured Timmy Chandler in the United States' Copa America squad, pending approval from the organising committee.

Manager Jurgen Klinsmann said on Friday that defender Geoff Cameron has recovered sufficiently from a hamstring injury to be able to play in Saturday's friendly against Bolivia, the last tune-up before the start of Copa America on June 3.

Chandler will miss the tournament due to a right quad strain. The U.S. has applied to make a...

Marco Fabian's desire for Bundesliga stay could hurt chances with Mexico

New winter arrival Marco Fabian, left, will be looking to impress in his first spell in Europe with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
Marco Fabian seems to want to stay in the Bundesliga, but his lack of playing time is a major concern.

Marco Fabian took part in Eintracht Frankfurt's playoff win to escape relegation, but the team's No. 10 contributed little other than picking up a yellow card. Though he celebrated the victory with his teammates, it's still unclear whether he will remain with the team.

Fabian had a release clause in his contract that relegation would have triggered, but it doesn't apply to almost-relegation....

Marco Russ played against Nurnberg last week despite learning of the disease last week.

Eintracht Frankfurt captain Marco Russ underwent surgery on Monday after he was diagnosed with a severe tumour disease last week.

Russ, 30, was diagnosed after a doping test had shown elevated levels of the hormone hCG, an indicator for either the use of anabolic steroids or a cancerous disease.

A medical check-up last week confirmed the disease and cleared Russ of the doping allegations, although authorities still raided his house.

Despite the news, the defender played in the first leg...

Miroslav Klose targeted by Eintracht Frankfurt after Lazio exit

Miroslav Klose scored seven Serie A goals this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed their interest in former Germany international Miroslav Klose, who is available on a free transfer this summer.

Klose, who is Germany's all-time top goal scorer, ended his five-year stint at Lazio on a high when netting his 64th goal for the Biancocelesti in his last match just over a week ago against Fiorentina.

The former Bayern Munich attacker's goal from the spot equalled the club's best haul by a foreign player, Macedonia forward Goran Pandev.

Klose said postmatch...

Haris Seferovic celebrates after scoring the goal that preserved Eintracht Frankfurt's Bundesliga status for next season.

Eintracht Frankfurt defended their place in the Bundesliga next season with a 1-0 win over Nurnberg, who lost their first of three playoffs and will spend next season once again in the 2. Bundesliga.
