D.C. United acquires Lucas Rodriguez, 21, on initial loan from Estudiantes

D.C. United added promising Argentine attacking midfielder Lucas Rodriguez on an initial loan with an option to buy on Monday.

Although he's just 21, Rodriguez has already made 90 first-team appearances for Estudiantes in Argentina, scording eight goals with five assists.

Rodriguez was also a key figure in Argentina's under-20 national team, starting at the U-20 World Cup and the South American Championship in 2017.

Foyth, 19, is expected to be followed into Spurs by Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier, with the Ivory Coast international closing in on a move to the Premier League...

The ESPN FC crew discuss the latest transfer rumours.

TANGIER, Morocco -- Estudiantes chairman Juan Sebastian Veron has confirmed that a deal is in place for defender Juan Foyth to join Paris Saint-Germain for a fee in excess of €10 million.

Foyth, 19, had been a target for Tottenham Hotspur for some time and Mauricio Pochettino's men initially led the chase for his signature but Veron has revealed PSG are on the verge of signing the Under-20 Argentina international ahead of Spurs.

"We already have an agreement between PSG and Estudiantes...
