Zurich president Ancillo Canepa has a tough week ahead.

It is a very strange week for FC Zurich and FC Lugano, the two clubs at the bottom of the Swiss Super League. Their fate in the top flight is to be decided on Wednesday -- one will go down, while the other will be saved -- but they will then play each other in the Swiss Cup final on Sunday.

Lugano, with a one-point advantage in the table, know that everything is in their hands and need to beat St Gallen at home; Zurich are just hoping for their rivals to slip up as they host Vaduz.

Man United to sign teenage FC Zurich striker Nishan Burkart in summer

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign FC Zurich star Nishan Burkart in the summer, according to the player's father.

Burkart, 16, has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal but has chosen to sign for United at the end of the season.

"We have decided to leave the club in the summer," his father Stefan told Swiss outlet Blick. "Nishan switches to Manchester United. He just has different ideas, that's what business is like.

FC Zurich goalkeeper Anthony Favre in horrendous fail against Grasshopper

Sunday saw Grasshopper take on near neighbours FC Zurich in the 245th installment of the Zurich derby.

Home side Grasshopper were 1-0 down inside the first eight minutes. However, they only had to wait another three minutes until they were absolutely gifted an equaliser by their bitter cross-town rivals.

For reasons unbeknownst, Zurich goalkeeper Anthony Favre decided to ignore the rapidly approaching Grasshopper attackers and continue messing around playing short balls back and forth with his defenders.
