Feyenoord legend Dirk Kuyt completes fan's tattoo to mark title win

Dirk Kuyt cemented his legendary status at Feyenoord in fitting fashion last season by scoring a hat trick to secure the Dutch club's first league title since 1999 in his final game before retirement.

As a mark of respect, one Feyenoord fan decided to immortalise the momentous day by having Kuyt's face tattooed onto his thigh, along with an image of the Eredivisie trophy that the veteran striker helped to win.

As a final added bonus, the supporter finished off the piece by allowing Kuyt himself...

FEYENOORD: Former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has announced his retirement from football after winning the Eredivisie title at the weekend. He will remain with Feyenoord in an off the pitch role.

ARSENAL: Sunderland manager David Moyes says Arsene Wenger's comments on some Premier League teams "going on holiday" were an insult to football.

Feyenoord's title win sums up the quiet brilliance of tireless, peerless Dirk Kuyt

Kuyt and Feyenoord captured the league title on Sunday and captured our hearts in the process.

On Sunday, Feyenoord ended their 18-year title drought with a 3-1 win over Heracles Almelo. They won via an emphatic close-range finish from a narrow angle, a neatly flicked header and a converted penalty. And all three goals to clinch a first Eredivisie title since 1999 came from one man: Dirk Kuyt.

In a year of European football that has seen a lot of business as usual, with Bayern running roughshod in Germany and Chelsea surging back to the top of the Premier League after a lost season, Feyenoord's...

Dirk Kuyt's son, Aidan, scores a superb goal for Quick Boys Katwijk

Dirk Kuyt, 37 in July, is still starring in the Dutch Eredivisie for league-leading Feyenoord and based on his seemingly ageless abilities, his son Aidan might be joining him in professional soccer sooner rather than later.

Like any proud dad, Dirk was taking in the weekend's game when his 5-year-old son busted out a goal for the ages playing for Quick Boys Katwijk -- the same club where Dirk got his start as a 5-year-old in 1985.
