Fiorentina confident of signing Mohamed Salah from Chelsea

Mohamed Salah is expected to leave Chelsea this summer.

Fiorentina are hoping to receive a positive answer from Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah after a day of talks with the player's agent on Wednesday.

The Serie A club are keen to take up their option to buy the player who impressed while on loan for the second half of last season. They have first refusal on the 23-year-old and are now confident they have made the player a good enough offer to convince him to commit his future.

"It was a positive meeting," Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle told...

Mohamed Salah gets 'insane offer' from Fiorentina - Vincenzo Guerini

Mohamed Salah recorded three Serie A assists last season.

Fiorentina have made Mohamed Salah an "insane offer" as they attempt to secure his services from Chelsea, according to club director Vincenzo Guerini.

Salah, 23, spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, scoring six goals in 16 Serie A appearances.

La Viola have an option to retain the Egypt international for the 2015-16 campaign, but his agent Ulisse Savini said earlier this month that it will ultimately come down to Salah's decision.

Fiorentina are keen to keep Salah, with Guerini...
