Stoke have confirmed the signing of Badou Ndiaye from Galatasaray for €16 million.

The 27-year-old midfielder joins Stoke on a four-and-a-half year deal and is their third signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of Moritz Bauer from Rubin Kazan and Kostas Stafylidis on loan from Augsburg.

Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo signs for Galatasaray on loan

Yuto Nagatomo has opted to move on.

Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo has joined Galatasaray on a six-month loan deal.

Nagatomo, 29, extended his contract with Inter Milan until the 2018-19 season back in 2016 but has found playing time hard to come by this season.

The Japan international full-back joined Inter from Cesena in January 2011 and has made 210 appearances and scored 11 goals in all competitions for the club.

He was also part of the side which won the Coppa Italia in the 2010-11 season.

Santos denied rumours that Gerardo Arteaga is on the move.

Santos Laguna's 19-year-old left'back Gerardo Arteaga is unlikely to move this January transfer window, despite reports in the Mexican media of interest from European clubs.

Arteaga burst onto the Liga MX scene in late 2016 and has become a regular starter at Santos. In recent weeks he has been linked with Turkish club Galatasaray, as well as Barcelona, Valencia and Porto.

Nigel de Jong signs short-term deal with Mainz

Nigel De Jong has returned to the Bundesliga with Mainz.

Former Netherlands international Nigel De Jong signed a short-term deal with Mainz on Friday.

The 33-year-old will return to the Bundesliga for the first time since 2009, when he left Hamburg for Manchester City.

Since then, he has played for AC Milan and the LA Galaxy until signing a two-year deal with Galatasaray in August 2016. After appearing in 24 games last season, he has not played at all this season
