Chivas lifts the Liga MX Femenil title.

GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- Chivas lifted the first Liga MX Femenil title in history on Friday, defeating Pachuca 3-0 to win 3-2 on aggregate over two legs.

The game also set a record attendance for the league, with 32,466 in Estadio Chivas, beating the previous record of just under 28,955 fans, which was set in the first leg of the final in Estadio Hidalgo on Monday.

The Mexican women's league is made up of 16 Liga MX teams and was only formally announced last December.

Javier Hernandez stresses West Ham commitment after Chivas link

The ESPN FC panel assess whether or not David Moyes can organise West Ham and get them out of the relegation zone.
Roberto Martinez tells Tom Marshall that he has always admired Javier Hernandez's ability from afar despite never having a chance to sign him.

West Ham striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez has denied a report that claimed he wanted to return to his first club, Mexican side Chivas Guadalajara, in January.

Hernandez, who joined West Ham in the summer, wrote on Twitter that the report, by Marca Claro, was "completely false."

He said that although he was a Chivas fan he wanted to stay at West Ham, now managed by David Moyes, to help them away from the wrong end of the Premier League table.

Rumoured Leicester target Almeyda could leave Mexico - Chivas CEO

Alejandro Moreno weighs in on the future of Leicester City after Craig Shakespeare was sacked just four months into the job.

Chivas CEO Jose Luis Higuera admits that there is a "risk" that manager Matias Almeyda could leave the club, amid interest from Premier League side Leicester City.

The Mirror first reported the Foxes' interest in Almeyda on Monday, but the 43-year-old has also been linked with vacant managerial posts at San Lorenzo in his homeland, as well the Chile national team.

Despite the interest, Chivas currently remain confident that Almeyda is happy at the club.
