FC Dallas winger Alex Zendejas set to join Chivas - sources

U.S. youth international Alex Zendejas is set to leave FC Dallas.

FC Dallas' homegrown winger Alex Zendejas has signed for Liga MX outfit Chivas, the club announced on Thursday.

ESPN Deportes' John Sutcliffe reported that Zendejas was in Guadalajara this week to complete his medical and finalize terms, with everything going smoothly between the player and clubs.

The Mexican club will pay FC Dallas and MLS a transfer fee of about $500,000, according to Goal.com.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico international Oribe Peralta netted Club America´s winner as it advanced to the Liga MX Clausura 2016 semifinals at the expense of bitter rival Chivas on Sunday at the Estadio Azteca.

America won the match and the series 2-1 on aggregate, following the 0-0 tie in the first leg of the Clasico Nacional last Thursday in Guadalajara.
