Dunfermline held Scottish Championship leaders Hibernian to their third straight league draw in an entertaining 2-2 contest at Easter Road.

Martin Boyle gave Hibs a sixth-minute lead, slotting in Jason Cummings' pinpoint cross from the left at the back post.

Boyle was involved in the hosts' second goal, which came on 24 minutes after he was felled in the box. Cummings sent Sean Murdoch the wrong way from the resulting penalty for his 15th goal of the season.

Dunfermline pulled one back two minutes...

Hibernian showed impressive determination to keep hold of the William Hill Scottish Cup with a convincing 3-1 win over Edinburgh rivals Hearts in the fifth-round replay at Easter Road.

Jason Cummings made sure the goalless first game at Tynecastle would not be replicated when he drove the home side into the lead in the 20th minute, before setting up fellow attacker Grant Holt for the second before the break.

Cummings scored the winner against the Tynecastle side in a replay at the same stage last season...

Hearts striker Esmael Goncalves wasted the best chance to clinch victory for Hearts over Hibernian as the Edinburgh derby ended goalless.

The Portuguese marksman had an effort saved by Hibs goalkeeper Ofir Marciano after just three minutes in this fiercely competitive William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round tie at Tynecastle.

Goalscoring opportunities were at a premium thereafter in a physical battle that was not short of effort, and the sides must now do it all again in the replay at Easter Road on...

Hibernian midfielder John McGinn marked his return from injury with a goal as Hibernian beat Ladbrokes Championship promotion rivals Dundee United 3-0.

The 22-year-old has not featured since going under the knife in mid-November but showed no sign of rustiness as he sealed a dominant display by Neil Lennon's men, who are now four points clear at the top of the table.

Hungry Hibs swarmed all over their nearest challengers throughout the 90 minutes and were in complete control as soon as Jason Cummings...

Kris Commons' late free-kick kept alive Hibernian's hope of finishing 2016 top of the Scottish Championship as they won 2-1 at Falkirk.

Hibs went into the match two points behind leaders Dundee United, whose match at Dumbarton finishes later, but they temporarily at least usurped their rivals after needing a Jason Cummings equaliser to cancel out Craig Sibbald's opening goal for the hosts, before Commons' 87th-minute winner.

The result was a repeat of the last league meeting between the sides at Falkirk...
