Manchester City failed to achieve back-to-back Premier League titles but hung on to finish second behind Chelsea.
The ESPN FC panel discuss a few top players in the Premier League this season.
The ESPN FC crew discuss the Premier League team of the year.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says Frank Lampard deserved the reception he received after his side's 2-0 win over Southampton, while reserving praise for Premier League Golden Boot winner Sergio Aguero.
ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses the growing possibility of Manchester City's Yaya Toure moving to Inter Milan.

Manuel Pellegrini is adamant that Yaya Toure is happy to stay at Manchester City amid Roberto Mancini's desire to sign the midfielder for Inter Milan.

Last week Inter's vice president Javier Zanetti said the club was closing in on a deal to sign the 32-year-old, while former City manager Mancini has made no secret of his determination to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Despite Toure's agent saying his client "is too important [for City] to let go," Mancini told an event at...

Icardi, Handanovic stand out in 2014-15 amid Inter Milan struggles

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses the growing possibility of Manchester City's Yaya Toure moving to Inter Milan.

This season has been one of inconsistency and change for Inter Milan. Walter Mazzarri departed and Roberto Mancini returned to the club as head coach.

Different systems meant there was another period of transition that ultimately came at the expense of results. Inter have improved but it is clear that the club need wholesale changes in the summer.

President Erick Thohir has acknowledged that the team has underachieved and is willing to invest in a project to rebuild. Inter can at best be credited...

What will Inter Milan's team look like next season?

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses the growing possibility of Manchester City's Yaya Toure moving to Inter Milan.
Roberto Mancini could be overseeing a dramatically different squad next season as key players look to leave.

The Nerazzurri were given taking two days off after their 3-2 defeat to Genoa on Saturday. As the players returned to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti on Tuesday afternoon, Roberto Mancini must have watched his squad in a rather pensive manner. Despite all the talk of "crazy mistakes" and "heading in the right direction," the club is at another huge turning point this year. The Inter coach would have been forgiven for wondering just who on earth from his current squad will still be with him...

Pirelli chief threatens to pull Inter Milan sponsorship

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses the growing possibility of Manchester City's Yaya Toure moving to Inter Milan.

The president of Italian tyre manufacturers Pirelli has warned Inter Milan that if they do not qualify for Europe, his company may have to reconsider their sponsorship of the Serie A club.

Pirelli have been one of the Nerazzurri's main sponsors since 1995 and still have a contract with the club that runs through to the end of next season, worth a reported €14 million per annum.

The chances of that agreement being extended by another year now appear to depend on whether the 2010 Champions League...

Carlo Ancelotti says he'll take year off if he doesn't return to Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti admits he'll take a year off from coaching if he's sacked by Real Madrid this week.
Carlo Ancelotti speaks as speculation over his Real Madrid future continues to mount.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti plans to take a year off from coaching if he is not continuing at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, he said on Saturday after his side ended the season by hammering Getafe 7-3 at home.

The Italian coach said in his post-match news conference that should Madrid not ask him to continue into the final year of his contract, he would take a 12-month sabbatical from the game.

"My future is clear in my head," Ancelotti said. "Either I stay here at Real Madrid, or I stop...
