Real Madrid narrowly avoided setting a new club-record goal drought as they fell to their fourth defeat in five games with a 2-1 loss to Levante at the Bernabeu.

Head coach Julen Lopetegui went into the match with plenty of speculation over his position, and his team were 2-0 down within the first quarter-hour courtesy of Jose Luis Morales' strike and a penalty from Roger Marti.

Marcelo's strike with 20 minutes remaining kept Madrid's hopes of a recovery alive, and ended the club's run without a...

Valencia mayor Joan Ribo has taken a swipe at La Liga for only choosing to move certain games due to the heat.

Real Betis' home league game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening will be played one hour and 30 minutes later than originally scheduled due to the high temperatures that are being predicted for Seville.

La Liga want to avoid playing games with temperatures surpassing the 30ºC . The game was scheduled to start at 17:30 BST but temperatures are expected to reach 35ºC,...

Jefferson Lerma has joined Bournemouth from Levante on a five-year deal.

Bournemouth have finally captured Colombia central midfielder Jefferson Lerma from Levante on a five-year deal for a club record fee, the Premier League team announced on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old, whose transfer is subject to international clearance, played in all of Colombia's games at this year's World Cup in Russia, including the last-16 loss to England.

The transfer fee for Lerma was not disclosed, but British media reported that he was moving for £25 million, which beats the previous record...
