Marseille keeper Steve Mandanda keen on Premier League move

Steve Mandanda represented France during the recent international break.

France goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has told France Football he could follow in international teammate Hugo Lloris' footsteps and move across the Channel to the Premier League.

Marseille goalkeeper Mandanda, 30, is out of contract with the Ligue 1 club in 2016, and is considering his future.

After seven years at the Stade Velodrome, Mandanda, who is also OM captain, has not set his heart on quitting the club, but he admitted he would be tempted by a move to England where Lloris has excelled with Tottenham...

Revitalised Marseille target Ligue 1 title as Monaco also make a run

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses this weekend's results in Ligue 1, where Paris Saint-Germain took the lead in the league table.

At the risk of repeating myself, this season's Ligue 1 title race is by far the most exciting in Europe.

With eight games to go, one point separates leaders Paris Saint-Germain from second-placed Lyon, while Marseille are one further back. Plus, Monaco, who are fourth and four points behind Marseille, have a game in hand.

Such a scenario was totally unexpected. At the start of the season, the prevailing wisdom was that PSG would run away with the title like Bayern Munich have in Germany or...

Marseille hopeful of Ligue 1 title win, Monaco aiming for top-three finish

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses this weekend's results in Ligue 1, where Paris Saint-Germain took the lead in the league table.

Marseille's Dimitri Payet insists his club are aiming for the Ligue 1 title, while Monaco's Aymen Abdennour is hoping for a Champions League place.

Marseille remain third in the Ligue 1 table despite their 4-0 victory over Lens on Sunday evening, but the result took Marcelo Bielsa's men to within two points of leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

After finishing outside the top five last season, OM are already set for an improvement, but Payet told reporters a record-equalling 10th Ligue 1 crown remains...

Andre Ayew celebrates his goal for Marseille in the club's 4-0 win vs. Lens.

Michy Batshuayi scored twice as Marseille closed the gap on Ligue 1 leaders Paris St Germain to two points as they claimed a 4-0 win at Lens.

Batshuayi opened the scoring in the 46th minute and finished off with his second in stoppage time after Alaixys Romao and Andre Ayew had made the game safe in five second-half minutes.

The result sees OM remain in third place but they are now just a point behind second-placed Lyon and two behind defending champions PSG as the title race continues to hot up.

PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic banned just one match for tackle on Chelsea's Oscar

Zlatan Ibrahimovic launched an astonishing tirade against the referee after PSG's 3-2 defeat to Bordeaux but has now apologised.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will only be suspended for one match for his red card against Chelsea, UEFA has announced, though he could still face an extra ban from the French Football League.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was sent off following a challenge on Oscar -- but the incident was controversial as a straight red card was shown to the Sweden star after Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers was surrounded by nine Chelsea players.

UEFA said in a statement: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended for one...
