Experienced Ivory Coast defender Adama Traore has signed a one-year deal to return to A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory.

Traore, 29, first played for Victory between 2012 and 2014 and returns to Australia after stints in Portugal, Turkey and Switzerland, where he played Champions League and Europa League football with FC Basel.

Denmark international midfielder Jakob Poulsen has joined Melbourne Victory for the upcoming A-League season.

The 36-year-old, who played 35 times for his country, has signed on a one-year deal to continue his career in Australia after last playing for Danish Superliga club Midtjylland.

Poulsen's long professional career has featured stints in the Danish, Dutch and French football leagues, most notably with French Ligue 1 giants Monaco between 2012-14.

Melbourne Victory have signed Austrian attacking midfielder Kristijan Dobras on a one-year A-League deal.

The midfielder has made over 130 appearances in the Austrian Football Bundesliga and scored 15 goals in the first and second divisions since 2012 for Rapid Wien, Grodig, Wiener Neustadt, Sturm Graz and most recently Rheindorf Altach.

Last Wednesday, Melbourne Victory played a match for the first time in its 15-year history without counting Kevin Muscat as a member of staff.

Muscat, the former Socceroos captain, was Victory's foundation captain, who on retirement went straight to the backroom team.

Marco Kurz says Melbourne Victory are still in the market for "at least four or five" new signings ahead of the A-League season.
