Blaise Matuidi rescued PSG with a stoppage-time winner versus Metz to keep the French champions' title hopes alive.

Blaise Matuidi's stoppage-time header gave Ligue 1 title challengers Paris Saint-Germain a dramatic 3-2 win at Metz, who had only just fought back to draw level with two late goals.

Edinson Cavani nodded PSG in front after 33 minutes with his 30th league goal of the season, before Matuidi slotted in a second three minutes later to seemingly leave the visitors coasting towards a comfortable victory

Monaco rally to open three-point lead in Ligue 1; Nice seal Champions League

Jean Seri's well-worked goal ensured victory for Nice against Nancy and a top-three finish in Ligue 1.

Monaco restored their three-point lead over Paris Saint-Germain at the summit of Ligue 1 after coming from behind to defeat Dijon 2-1 at Stade Louis II on Saturday.

Cedric Varrault gave the visitors a surprise lead shortly before half-time when he bundled home after keeper Danijel Subasic failed to clear a long-range header.
