Marseille action 170317
Lille's French midfielder Ibrahim Amadou dribbles the ball past Marseille's Dimitri Payet.

Lille and Marseille played out a lacklustre goalless draw in the Ligue 1 on Friday.

The result left Marseille fifth in the standings, 22 points off leader Monaco's pace, with Lille lagging 34 points behind.

PSG and Nice win to go level on points atop Ligue 1 with Monaco

With 15 minutes to go, a swift counter-attack from Youssef Ait Bennasser saw a shot from substitute Alexis Busin beat PSG keeper Kevin...

Metz were punished after their fans threw firecrackers onto the pitch against Lyon.

Metz will no longer be docked any points for the crowd incidents that damaged the hearing of Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

Metz had initially been docked two points -- and were threatened with being deducted a further point for any future transgression by their fans -- after firecrackers were thrown onto the pitch during the Ligue 1 game on Dec. 3.

They exploded near Lopes, leaving the goalkeeper's hearing temporarily impaired.

The punishment -- handed down by the French Football League's Disciplinary...
