Leicester eye Molde star Mohamed Elyounoussi as Mahrez replacement

Leicester City are tracking Norway international as a possible replacement for attacking midfielder Riyad Mahrez if he leaves in the summer, a source has told ESPN FC.

The Premier League leaders are bracing themselves for interest in Mahrez following his outstanding form this season, which has seen him notch 15 league goals and 11 assists.

The Algerian has been one of the campaign's star players, and his performances have seen him attract interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

Sevilla made it through to the Europa League round of 16 but it was Molde who earned the plaudits in the second leg with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Eirik Hestad scored the only goal on Thursday night as Molde secured the win, though Sevilla's 3-0 result from the first leg in Spain eventually proved enough.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Molde had to withstand a few early efforts from the Sevilla front line, especially from Yevhen Konoplyanka, but Molde got themselves in front shortly before the break as Hestad...

Fernando Llorente's brace helped reigning Europa League champions Sevilla romp to an impressive 3-0 win against Molde in the first leg of this last-32 tie.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men arrived in Spain as underdogs and Unai Emery's men took a deserved lead after 35 minutes, when Spain striker Llorente slotted home.

The 30-year-old doubled the hosts' advantage four minutes into the second half, rifling home after collecting a lovely dinked pass from Coke.

Celtic's Europa League hopes suffered another blow following a 2-1 home defeat by Molde -- and the spotlight will surely turn back on boss Ronny Deila.

The offside flag deprived the Hoops of two goals in the first 12 minutes following the loss of Jozo Simunovic to injury before Mohamed Elyounoussi stunned Parkhead with a 20-yard drive.

Midfielder Kris Commons levelled five minutes later but Molde's 40-year-old skipper Daniel Hestad restored the Norwegian club's lead in the 37th minute to give them...

Kris Commons' reaction to removal 'not acceptable' - Celtic's Ronny Deila

Molde stood its ground as they defeated Celtic 3-1 to stay atop of Group A in the Europa League.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila hit out at Kris Commons after the midfielder threw a fit at being substituted in the 3-1 Europa League defeat by Molde in Norway.

In dreadful conditions at the Aker Stadion, first-half goals by striker Ola Kamara and defender Vegard Forren gave the home side a two-goal interval lead.

Commons reduced the lead in the 54th minute with a well-taken goal but seconds later Mohamed Elyounoussi restored the Norwegian club's advantage.
