Motherwell and Dundee lacked attacking inspiration in a goalless Ladbrokes Premiership contest at Fir Park.

The hosts dominated the first half without getting a shot on target and neither side carved out a real clear-cut chance during a more even second period.

Both sides have failed to win since the opening day of the season and neither did enough in the opposition box to justify victory.

Motherwell were again without injured summer signing Jacob Blyth but at least have last season's top goalscorer...

Kenny Miller rescued victory for Rangers as his stoppage-time strike handed the Light Blues a dramatic 2-1 Ladbrokes Premiership win over Motherwell at Ibrox.

Motherwell boss Mark McGhee claimed his side would not have it as tough as they did while shipping five goals against Celtic in the Betfred Cup two weeks ago, and he was right as Gers toiled to break the visitors down.

His side even took the lead after 19 minutes when Scott McDonald tapped home from close range.

But the outcome ended up the same...

Steven MacLean capitalised on some poor goalkeeping from Craig Samson to earn St Johnstone a 2-1 Ladbrokes Premiership victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.

Motherwell midfielder Chris Cadden netted the opener from close range two minutes after the interval but Danny Swanson hit a solo equaliser within nine minutes.

And St Johnstone sealed their second comeback victory in four days when MacLean nodded home after Samson had palmed out Chris Kane's strike from almost 25 yards.

St Johnstone made four changes...

Kilmarnock were without Charlton target Josh Magennis as they suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Motherwell on the opening day of the Ladbrokes Premiership season.

Killie cut their pitch dimensions but still allowed Motherwell too much room when Lionel Ainsworth netted with a glorious chip in the 40th minute and Marvin Johnson headed home 28 seconds after the restart.

Lee Clark started with only three of his 11 summer signings but he is still looking for the right formula following their Betfred Cup exit,...

Motherwell cruised into the next round of the Betfred Cup with a convincing 3-0 over Stranraer.

Second-half goals from Chris Cadden, Marvin Johnson and Scott McDonald were enough to secure the Scottish Premiership club's place in the next round of the competition.

The visitors dominated much of the early play, controlling possession and creating a number of early chances, but it was Stranraer who had the best opportunities in the opening exchanges.

Scott Agnew saw a 20-yard shot go just wide of the...
