Vote: Are Aguero, Alli, El Shaarawy, Kurzawa, Proto the UCL stars?

Another round of UEFA Champions League fixtures has come and gone, leaving us with a number of memorable performances during the fourth week of the group stage.

There's no denying that Tottenham Hotspur made a statement with a 3-0 victory against Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium that left them top of Group H. Sergio Aguero also celebrated when he set a Manchester City club record with his added-time goal against Napoli.

But there were some curious results, too, such as Atletico Madrid's draw against...

Barcelona's Ernesto Valverde to face appreciative Olympiakos side

The FC crew agree Barcelona are still in control in La Liga after fighting back for a draw against Atletico Madrid.

Managers don't hang around at Olympiakos. The Greek side arrived in Barcelona for Wednesday's Champions League game with Takis Lemonis in charge, but he has only been in the job for 22 days.

He replaced Besnik Hasi, who was sacked in September after a derby defeat against AEK Athens. Hasi had only been given the job in the summer, when he was chosen to replace caretaker coach Vassilis Vouzas, who had just won the Greek title. Vouzas came in on a temporary basis in March after former Portugal coach...

The ESPN FC crew discuss the Champions League draw.

Now that the Champions League draw has been completed, here's a preview for Group D. Who do you think will go through?

Predicted finish

1. Juventus
2. Barcelona
3. Sporting Lisbon
4. Olympiakos

The Bianconeri will be expected to rebound from last season's crushing defeat to Real Madrid in the final and have been busy in the transfer market. Douglas Costa, Blaise Matuidi and Federico Bernardeschi add quality in key areas but there are question marks surrounding what they have...

Olivier Giroud the hero as Arsenal beat Olympiakos 3-0 to reach UCL last 16

PIRAEUS, Greece -- Three points from a fine Wednesday night for Arsenal as Olivier Giroud's first hat trick for the club secured their spot in the Champions League round of 16.

1. Composed Gunners get their miracle

This time, they pulled it out of the fire. Arsenal's propensity for setting themselves impossible Champions League escape tasks has tended to yield valiant failure, but Olivier Giroud's hat trick brought Olympiakos' challenge to a thudding halt and ensured that remarkably, they...

Arsenal face Champions League humiliation after Olympiakos defeat

LONDON -- Three thoughts on Olympiakos' 3-2 win vs. Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.

1. Arsenal face a hard task to qualify

"You have to win home games if you want to qualify, it is as simple as that. We cannot afford to drop points against anybody at home."

So said Arsene Wenger before Arsenal's 3-2 defeat to Olympiakos in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Well, drop points they now have, and what previously was thought of as a given -- Arsenal's qualification for the round of 16, the...

Panathinaikos vs. Olympiakos lives up to its tag as the 'eternal enemies' derby

Police clash with Panathinaikos fans at the 'Leoforos' stadium before the two teams can even emerge for kickoff.

The next in our ESPN FC derbies series involves the two biggest teams in Greek football. Olympiakos recently clinched their fifth straight Greek Super League title, the 42nd in club history. Michael Yokhin went to see them play Panathinaikos in February, the latest chapter in their contentious rivalry.

Everyone in Greece told me I was crazy. Why would I go to the Athens derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos? It will be a dangerous adventure, everyone said.

As I approached the old Apostolos...
