Liga MX's Pachuca striker Franco Jara to join FC Dallas in summer

Herc Gomez and Seb Salazar are at odds over whether Carlos Vela or Chicharito is the better player in MLS.
ESPN FC's Steve Nicol explains how both player and club benefit in Javier Hernandez's move to LA Galaxy.

Pachuca forward Franco Jara will join FC Dallas in July, as the MLS club announced Tuesday that it had signed the Argentine to a Designated Player deal.

Jara, who turns 32 on July 15, will make the move to Texas after the conclusion of Liga MX's 2020 Clausura season.

Jara won the 2016 Clausura title and 2017 CONCACAF Champions League with Los Tuzos. He has spent time with Greek club Olympiacos and Portuguese side Benfica, along with several clubs in his native Argentina.

U.S. defender Gonzalez joins Toronto FC

Nick DeLeon found the net in the waning minutes of game to draw level and save a point for Toronto against the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place.

The 30-year-old was signed using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and will be officially added to the roster once the transfer window re-opens on July 9.

Gonzalez won a domestic title and the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League with Pachuca. Prior to his move to...

Ibarra joins Pachuca on loan from Minnesota

Ethan Finlay's second-half goal over his old club Columbus Crew proved enough for Minnesota in a hard-fought 1-0 win.
Major League Soccer: Ethan Finlay (70') Minnesota United 1-0 Columbus Crew

Minnesota United has sent Ecuador international forward Romario Ibarra on loan to Liga MX side Pachuca for the next 13 months, both clubs confirmed on Tuesday.

Ibarra, 24, began the season as the team's preferred striker, starting four of the first six games, but that was due in large part to DP forward Angelo Rodriguez not being fully fit. Once Rodriguez returned to health, Ibarra's playing time decreased, logging just 60 minutes in the Loons' last six matches. During his time in the Twin Cities,...

Liga MX W2W4: Table-toppers Chivas look to maintain their momentum; Pachuca begin a new era

Chivas have been a major surprise, as the Guadalajara-based team are the only team on nine points in Liga MX.
Chivas have been a major surprise, as the Guadalajara-based team are the only team on nine points in Liga MX.

It's almost time for Week 4 of the 2019 Clausura! Before Liga MX futbol returns with another weekend of highly anticipated matches, here are three things to watch out for:

Chivas aiming for four wins in four

It is almost astonishing to see the immediate progress that Chivas have made in 2019. Last season, it took the team from Guadalajara nine matches to eventually slump to four victories. This season, they might be able to reach that tally in less than half the time.

Revived by a much-needed...
