PAOK earn final spot in Champions League over Panathinaikos

PAOK return to the Champions League after two years' absence.

PAOK held Panathinaikos to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday to win the Greek league playoffs and earn a place in next season's Champions League.

Playing in front of a boisetrous crowd, PAOK went ahead in the 17th minute when an unmarked Garry Rodriguez fired into the top right corner.

A speculative shot from distance by Panathinaikos midfielder Robin Lod found its way into the net in the 26th minute, after a failed attempt to clear the danger by PAOK defender Miguel Vitor.

PAOK Salonika sack Igor Tudor, appoint Vladimir Ivic as successor

Igor Tudor was appointed PAOK Salonika boss last summer.

PAOK Salonika have fired coach Igor Tudor and replaced him with youth-team coach Vladimir Ivic.

Tudor, a former Croatia international, arrived at PAOK last summer, signing a three-year deal with the club.

The game was stopped in the 90th minute as Olympiakos led 2-1.

The other semifinal featured AEK Athens and Atromitos, and the final was scheduled for April 2...

Dimitar Berbatov interviews Dimitar Berbatov to dispel PAOK exit rumours

Dimitar Berbatov capped off a rough couple of weeks by picking up his first red card in 13 years at the weekend -- the PAOK striker was dismissed for elbowing an AEK defender just 38 minutes after coming on as a substitute.

Going into the game, rumours had been swirling in the press that the laconic Bulgarian striker is unhappy with his lot at PAOK and has instructed his agent to engineer a way out of the club at the first available opportunity. However, in order to set the record straight, Berbatov...
