PSG's Marquinhos: Manchester United, Barcelona wanted to sign me

After PSG defender Marquinhos was linked with a move to Manchester United, manager Laurent Blanc has issued a hands-off warning to the Red Devils over the Brazilian.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has revealed Manchester United wanted to sign him last summer.

Marquinhos, 20, arrived at PSG in 2013 tipped as a future great, and the Brazil international defender has confirmed his potential with increasingly assured displays for the Ligue 1 champions.

The youngster signed a five-year deal at the Parc des Princes following his estimated 31.4 million euro switch from Roma, but has repeatedly been linked to United, and the Premier League outfit tried to tempt...

Leonardo Jardim: Monaco tired vs. Paris Saint-Germain after Arsenal

ESPN FC's Gabriele Marcotti discusses a tough week in Ligue 1 for the top three French sides, and what their results means for the title race.

Leonardo Jardim has claimed his Monaco side are "tired" following their Champions League exertions against Arsenal.

Jardim, 40, saw his side toil to a goalless draw against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday in a lacklustre performance that contrasted with Wednesday's sparkling display in their 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Sporting and Olympiakos boss, who faces PSG again in a Coupe de France quarterfinal on Wednesday, told reporters he could see his squad's efforts in north London had...

Javier Pastore, Edinson Cavani draw blanks as PSG miss chance to go top

Javier Pastore, left, and Edinson Cavani, right, both squandered opportunities to put Paris Saint-Germain ahead.

Paris Saint-Germain passed up a golden opportunity to take top spot in Ligue 1 for the first time this season with a 0-0 draw away at AS Monaco on Sunday.

There is no guarantee that Les Parisiens will get another chance like it anytime soon, as title rivals Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais both dropped points to open it up for PSG at the summit. However, Laurent Blanc's men could only labour to a goalless draw at Stade Louis II, failing to take advantage of some weary Monaco legs after...

Jean-Christophe Bahebeck & Co. missed on their chance to sit atop the Ligue 1 standings.

Paris Saint-Germain were unable to reclaim top spot in Ligue 1 as they were held to a goalless draw by fellow high-flyers Monaco.

With pacesetters Lyon losing 2-1 at Lille on Saturday, PSG could have moved a point clear at the summit if they had managed to claim a victory from their trip to the south coast.

However, despite having the better of the match, Laurent Blanc's men had to settle for a third draw in their last four Ligue 1 games as stubborn Monaco -- a team who have conceded just once in...
