Adnan Januzaj apparently will still play an important role at Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain have tried to sign Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United this month but Louis van Gaal has refused to sell, the player's agent says.

The result keeps Laurent Blanc's men four points behind league leaders Olympique Lyonnais and four points in front of St Etienne.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic battles for the ball with Kevin Theophile-Catherine of St Etienne during their Ligue 1 match. Ibrahimovic would score the only goal of the game as PSG went on to win 1-0.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the only goal as Paris St Germain put pressure on the top two in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 victory at St Etienne.

The Sweden striker's penalty on the hour earned Laurent Blanc's men back-to-back wins in the league as they closed the gap on leaders Lyon to four points.

St Etienne are now four points behind their opponents in fourth, having seen their 12-match unbeaten run brought to an end.
