Safuwan Baharudin an asset to Pahang says captain Matt Davies

Pahang have welcomed Singapore international defender Safuwan Baharudin to their squad as they look to challenge four-time defending Malaysia Super League (MSL) champions Johor Darul Taz'im (JDT) in 2018.

It marks a return to the MSL for Safuwan who spent this year in the Malaysian Premier League with PDRM FA, following last year's relegation.

Singapore midfielder Safuwan Baharudin says he has no regrets about having to play in the Malaysian second division this season because he wants to show his loyalty to PDRM FA.

The talented 26-year-old seemed poised for a move to 2016 Malaysia Cup champions Kedah, with several other top flight sides interested in his services.

But in the end, Safuwan decided to stay with the Malaysian police side, who were relegated on the final day of the 2016 Malaysia Super League season.

Safuwan Baharudin not going to Kedah, stays with PDRM in second tier

One of Singapore's top players will be plying his trade in the Malaysian second division this year, with the news that former A-League defender Safuwan Baharudin will be staying with relegated PDRM FA.
