Memphis Depay targeted by Liverpool as well as Manchester United - sources

Memphis Depay helped PSV clinch the Dutch title this season.

Liverpool are to rival Manchester United for the signature of PSV Eindhoven forward Memphis Depay, sources have told ESPN FC.

Depay, 21, has been linked with a big-money transfer this summer, after his 20 goals in 27 league appearances this season helped PSV to seal the Eredivisie title at the weekend. 

PSV's sporting director, Marcel Brands, said on Monday that United, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all in the hunt for Depay.

Memphis Depay and PSV Eindhoven beat Heerenveen 4-1 to win the Eredivisie title for the first time in seven seasons.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all in the hunt for PSV Eindhoven's Memphis Depay, the Dutch club have revealed.

Depay, 21, is one of Europe's most exciting prospects with 20 goals and three assists in 27 Eredivisie outings this season.

PSV Eindhoven sealed their 22nd Eredivisie title and dethroned four-time defending champion Ajax when they beat Heernveen 4-1 on Saturday.

The title ended a seven-year drought for PSV and earned them a place in next season's Champions League.
