River Plate have struggled in the Copa this season but a dramatic 2-2 draw vs. Tigres gives them a lifeline.

Have River Plate just saved their Copa Libertadores campaign? The Buenos Aires giants were among the pre-tournament favourites but amazingly, with five of their six group games played, they are still without a win. But things could be much worse. Indeed, things were just five minutes away from being much worse.

Three Copa Libertadores matches you can't miss this week

Atletico Mineiro will welcome Santa Fe to their formidable home ground on Thursday.

True, there were a couple of games played last Wednesday. Other than that, though, the Copa Libertadores went on holiday for two weeks while attention was focused on the international game. But now South America's premier club competition is back, and the action resumes at a fascinating stage.

Most of the 32 teams have only two of their group games still to play. Eight teams have three matches left.

River Plate director: 'Doors are open' for Manchester United striker Falcao

On-loan Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has played down talk of a move to Juventus, as speculation about an imminent exit from Old Trafford continues to grow.

Argentine giants River Plate have dreams of making a move for Manchester United forward Radamel Falcao this summer, says the club's vice president.

In a conversation with Esto es River, vice president Matias Patanian admitted bringing back the out-of-form striker is something the club are considering for the upcoming window.

"We are dreaming of Falcao, the doors are open," he said. "It depends on what is sold to bring him in mid-year. If we do not sell we can bring in two players."
