Bologna boss urges Emanuele Giaccherini to sort Sunderland sale

Emanuele Giaccherini has a year left to play out of his Sunderland contract.

Bologna's club manager Marco Di Vaio hopes that Emanuele Giaccherini will fight his own corner to earn a stay at the Serie A club next season by convincing Sunderland to let him leave.

Giaccherini has been a regular under Roberto Donadoni since joining from the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal. The 30-year-old has scored seven times in 26 league appearances and is set to be one of the first names on Antonio Conte's Italy squad for the European Championship this summer.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes expresses his displeasure with the hand the ref had in his team's 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Stoke defender Geoff Cameron has accused Jermain Defoe of diving to win the penalty that earned Sunderland a point at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
