Fernando Llorente was exceptional in Saturday's win versus Liverpool. He's not the only old-school striker thriving.

After the 2015-16 season saw the greatest shock in the history of English football with Leicester City winning the title, there have been very few surprises in 2016-17. Of course, another unlikely champion wasn't on the cards; we probably aren't even going to have an outsider battling for the Champions League places either. But more interestingly, we haven't had any real shocks in one-off matches either.

Until Saturday.

Paul Clement tipped to be a success at Swansea by Bayern's Manuel Neuer

Paul Clement praises the entire team effort for Swansea at Anfield.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has backed Paul Clement to succeed at Swansea City and "can understand" his move from the Bundesliga champions to the Premier League strugglers.

Clement served as Carlo Ancelotti's assistant for 329 games, winning trophies at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

But after just six months as Ancelotti's No. 2 at Bayern, the English coach opted to take up the challenge of keeping Swansea in the Premier League.
