Brighton boss Chris Hughton could make changes for the visit of table-topping Watford.

Hughton was not impressed with the performance in the 2-1 defeat by Wigan which kept Brighton in the relegation mix, although Millwall's midweek loss subsequently eased any lingering fears of the drop, with the Seagulls now six points and 24 goals clear with two games remaining.

Joao Teixeira (broken leg), Sam Baldock, Andrew Crofts (both knee), Kemy Agustien (thigh) and Solly March (calf) are all still on the sidelines.

A Craig Cathcart goal was enough to put Watford top of the Championship with just two games of the season remaining following a 1-0 win over Birmingham.

The Hornets went into the game knowing a win would take them back into the automatic promotion places following Middlesbrough's victory at Norwich on Friday.

They looked as though they would have to settle for second after Matt Ritchie put Bournemouth ahead against Sheffield Wednesday and on course for top spot, but Chris Maguire's stoppage-time penalty...

Odion Ighalo celebrates opening the scoring for Watford on Wednesday evening.

Watford moved back into third spot and within a point of the top of the Championship by overcoming 10-man Nottingham Forest 3-1 at the City Ground.

Goals from Odion Ighalo and Matthew Connolly handed the Hornets a comfortable half-time lead, but the home side -- despite losing defender Kelvin Wilson to a red card -- produced a spirited fightback and clawed a goal back through Gary Gardner.

Michail Antonio missed a late sitter for the hosts, though, and Watford sealed victory when Almen Abdi added...

Matej Vydra's superb volley helped keep Watford on the trail for automatic promotion as they recorded a 2-0 victory over a spirited Millwall side, who sank further into relegation trouble.

Millwall were on top for much of the first half but a stunning hit from Vydra saw the Hornets take in a slender advantage at half-time.

Aiden O'Brien was a constant menace for the hosts - who had an early penalty shout turned down - but Watford were far too clinical, as Adlene Guedioura slotted a vital second goal...

Striker Troy Deeney applauds the home fans after Watford's win over Middlesbrough.

Troy Deeney became the first player in Watford history to score 20 goals in three consecutive seasons as the Hornets beat leaders Middlesbrough 2-0 to go top of the Championship.

The Watford skipper's historic moment came in the 37th minute when he converted an Adlene Guedioura cross before the home side made the points safe with a stunning second from Odion Ighalo midway through the...
