Police warning for upset Hammers: Stop calling us when you lose

While West Ham's form has been criminal at times, the police have urged fans to stop phoning them to report it as such.

The Hammers slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Watford on Sunday in David Moyes' first game in charge, leading one particularly irked supporter to ring the emergency services to complain.

After the match, the Essex Police Force Control Room warned fans that dialling 999 just to moan about poor football results constitutes a very serious waste of police time.

Honestly, you'd hope that...

West Ham striker Andy Carroll names baby boy 'Wolf'

A predator in the penalty area, it's perhaps only right that Andy Carroll has given his newborn son a suitably ferocious name.

Carroll and his partner, reality TV personality Billie Mucklow, welcomed their second child into the world on Wednesday and opted for a thoroughly unorthodox moniker.

Was Pablo Zabaleta spotted sporting Manchester City colours in training?

He may be a West Ham player these days, but it would appear that Pablo Zabaleta's heart still lies with Manchester City, the club at which he spent nine long years before leaving for east London in May.

Indeed, the 32-year-old was spotted wearing his old club colours around his neck during a recent Hammers training session, donning a blue-and-white scarf for the occasion.

Of course, it's also worth remembering that Zabaleta is a former Argentina international, with the Albiceleste obviously sharing...

The ESPN FC crew discuss David Moyes' appointment as West Ham manager.
The ESPN FC crew discuss David Moyes' appointment as West Ham manager.

Javier Hernandez's mood must have matched that of most West Ham supporters when David Moyes was appointed Slaven Bilic's successor last week.

Sidelined at Manchester United when the former Everton boss succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, the popular Hernandez was first loaned to Real Madrid and eventually sold to Bayer Leverkusen.

Although it was Moyes' successor Louis van Gaal who eventually took the brunt of the criticism for dispensing with the services of the fans' favourite, the rot started...

David Moyes true to himself if uninspiring in West Ham unveiling

Mark Ogden discusses what impact David Moyes could have at West Ham and questions whether the appointment is right for the club.
The ESPN FC panel assess whether or not David Moyes can organise West Ham and get them out of the relegation zone.
David Moyes has revealed that he turned down a lot of managerial job offers to manage West Ham due to the club's stature and history.
As West Ham unveil David Moyes, the new manager fully believes the Hammers can reverse their poor fortunes as of late.

David Moyes was unveiled on Wednesday afternoon in the Great Briton suite of the London Stadium after taking over as West Ham United manager, having signed a contract until the end of the season. He has replaced Slaven Bilic, sacked on Monday with the Hammers 18th in the table, and is far from a universally popular appointment among fans.

Last season, Moyes' Sunderland team were relegated, finishing bottom of the Premier League and he resigned in May, having been sacked by both Real Sociedad and...
