West Ham defender Jose Fonte to join Dalian Yifeng, David Moyes confirms

Jose Fonte has not had much success at West Ham.

West Ham defender Jose Fonte is joining Chinese club Dalian Yifeng, manager David Moyes has confirmed.

The Portuguese defender has not played for the Hammers since October due to an ankle injury which required surgery.

"I can confirm it's very close,'' said Moyes. "We wish him good luck.''

A reported fee of £5 million gives West Ham the chance to recoup a chunk of the £8m they paid to Southampton for Fonte in January 2017.

A host of Premier League clubs are tracking Ostersunds striker Saman Ghoddos following his impressive Europa League displays against Arsenal, sources have told ESPN FC.

West Ham United, Leicester City, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & Hove Albion had scouts watch Ghoddos, who helped set up both goals in Ostersunds' stunning 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

Football Association charges West Ham with breach of anti-doping rules

West Ham are alleged to have failed to provide accurate 'club whereabouts' information.

West Ham have been charged with a breach of anti-doping rules by the Football Association, which could result in a substantial fine.

The FA said the Premier League club were alleged to have "failed to ensure its 'club whereabouts' information was accurate on three occasions within 12 months."

Clubs are required to keep the FA informed of the location of their players in order to facilitate drug-testing.
